Ina Norrman and Romilly Smith are two artist-makers collaborating on a project examining the everyday nature of sexism that we imbibe like our daily cup of tea.
The reductive language that is so pervasive, so familiar to us, so much a part of the fabric of our daily life, that we cease to question it.
During the next year we are interested in hearing both women and men’s observations of everyday sexism in language and experience. In the coming months these will be the source material for an art project examining the semiotics of sexism and the time honoured ritual of afternoon tea.
